A top game that had something for every footy fan.
Hard running
Tough tackles and some brilliant offloads that would put some NRL sides in the shade..

A fine game and a credit to both teams.

I like watching the girls play. Cricket the same. Sort of like the game use to be ... once.

Aussie halves pair Simone Smith and Zahara Temara plus winger Isabelle Kelly were each outstanding in a 16-4 win over the Kiwi Ferns at GIO Stadium on Wednesday night.

Quite a good game overall. NZ were trying to hard to barge down the middle every play - and suffered because of it.

The ladies certainly made some big hits and while it might not have been the best option running the ball up the centre did show both sides have a power game.

With the likely retirements of a few in the Aussie side, it is good to see youth stepping up.

I just watched the end-of-season Ferns/Jillaroos game at Mount Smart, and what an excellent contest it was, with some great tries scored by both sides.

Yes - the girls are looking good.

I prefer the women's cricket - but the league is getting there too.

The Harvey Norman Jillaroos extended squad has assembled on the Gold Coast for a four-day intensive camp, as the team continues preparations for the year ahead.

Jillaroos coach Brad Donald has selected six potential 2020 Test debutants as part of the squad, as the team also narrows their focus ahead to their Rugby League World Cup defence in England next year.

Still can't get into the women's League. Not as bad as the AFWL but not quite right yet imo.
