I reckon that both the Roosters and Manly have blown there cherries to early. Both played there grand finals tonight and i highly doubt these two teams can repeat what we saw tonight. Storm Rabbitohs GF is where my money is now.

Thanks SJ.

Wish I could take losing a bet so calmly. For myself, it's not losing $$$ that hurts as much as the implicit indictment on my understanding of the teams involved.

Before placing a bet, I've carefully attempted to measure both team's potential performance and their consistency in delivering that performance. So when I lose a bet, it's because I'm ignorant, and have to try harder.

Earlier this year, a homeless Wellingtonian won about $70,000 by betting an eight leg NRL multi. This chap doesn't bet unless he's reasonably certain and he puts in a lot of effort following the comp to understand team form.

I want the skills that come with consistently picking winners. and I see betting as a reality check on measuring those skills.

My 2 cents.:)

Not me - I take much bigger chances when its not my money ...

I'm always amazed at those stats I put on the other thread - no GF team - either of them - has fronted up the following year - from 2009. We have to not count the Melbourne years.

I was sorry to see the Cows go - they looked a good chance.

Souths and the Chooks must now be favourites - with the Seagles very close behind. BUT - never discount a Bellamy team ... ;)

Strangely, whenever I see the Knights name, it is only replaced by Bennet. With the Cowboys and Bulldogs out, presumably with the Sharks to follow through the loss of Carney, I can see the prize going to any of the remaining teams.
