Neither - Jack Gibson would have been my selection ... ;)
It could be pointed out that SJ has already created several threads with polls already using existing features. Example http://whitelinefever.com/forum/threads/golden-point-time-for-the-boot.1735/

Also that SJ's poll technique avoids the disadvantage of all the wasted page space on the right hand side underneath the poll such as happens on this page. It's a disadvantage because the user is forced to scroll up and down more to read the parts of the page that are used.:(

Yep that SJ's one smooth operator ... :)

But - I just used the buttons at the bottom of the post - ie when you do the first post - setting up the thread/poll - scroll down to where it asks if you want to do a poll then set the question and possible answers.

I agree in relation to both Anderson and Smith. Both were underrated and never got to realise their full potential IMO. I met Anderson at a recent Roosters function - a very approachable and decent human being. Smith seemed quite reasonable as well.

Jack Gibson or John Monie for mine.

If you measure "best" by most premierships for Parra, then it has to be Jack.

He directed his team to winning consecutive premierships for each of the three years he was Head Coach 1981, 1982, 1983. Please share if you know of other coaches with this 100% strike rate.

If you look beyond Parra to the entire history of Australian League, Jack is in the top 3 of mosting winningest.

ARTHUR HALLOWAY 8 Premierships – 286 games, 178 wins, 17 draws, 91 losses – 62.24%
WAYNE BENNETT 7 Premierships – 788 games, 489 wins, 14 draws, 285 losses – 62.06%
JACK GIBSON 5 Premierships – 394 games, 245 wins, 10 draws, 139 losses – 62.18%
KEN KEARNEY 5 Premierships – 284 games, 168 wins, 5 draws, 111 losses – 59.15%
JACK RAYNER 5 Premierships – 216 games, 121 wins, 4 draws, 91 losses – 56.02%
NORM PROVAN 4 Premierships – 181 games, 124 wins, 8 draws, 49 losses – 68.51%
CRAIG BELLAMY 2 Premierships – 395 games, 269 wins, 2 draws, 124 losses – 68.10%
CHARLIE LYNCH 4 Premierships – 184 games, 118 wins, 6 draws, 60 losses – 64.13%
CLIVE CHURCHILL 4 Premierships – 260 games, 148 win, 5 draws, 107 losses – 56.92%
TIM SHEENS 4 Premierships – 669 games, 340 wins, 11 draws, 318 losses – 50.62%

Personally, I'd rate Jack Gibbon's stats above Wayne Bennett as Wayne took twice as many games to achieve his 7 Premierships.

Kind regards,
Terry

Hi mate,

I hope you and your family are well.

Worth looking back through the posts.

Yes, it certainly is. The forum search function is excellent at locating the knowledge shared in past threads, thereby making it possible to add comments to suitable existing threads. This creates many opportunities for humour especially when trying not to serve humble pie to the fans of vanquished teams. So in general and for the sake of giggles and continuity, I read and add to suitable old threads.

Disclaimer: The above is not a rule and members should feel welcome to create as many threads on any topics they wish.

All the best for 20/20 SJ.

Good post, Terry, but there is only one thing that you missed.

I don't have it on hand, but I would like to put Trent Robinson's record up there against those.
