The pressure is obviously getting to "SUN" as he went off after a british swimmer had issues with shaking his hand after he "inherited" first place due to a DQ.

In his case if there is any fact to his intimidation of drug testers he should have been banned from swimming and his case expedited.
Its hard to understand how they cant finalise an issue like failing to supply out of competition drug test quickly.....unless there are political and Chinese cash implications in which case they probably are too busy trying to sweep it under the carpet to deal with it.

He has been found guilty before of using enhancement and other swimmers who are complying with regulations are not happy he is getting what seems "special treatement.

those Chinese sports people have hides like Bull elephants and for some reason they lead a charmed life compared to other athletes.
Even in track and field the Chinese have virtually come from nowhere to be very competitive.
two athletes (family name XIE) took out 100 metres and hurdles?.

There was even a pic on FB the other day of a Chinese fishing trawler and the decks were covered in turtles.
They were probably going to distil the turtle juice to power their athletes in Tokyo.
Our female swimmers probably still have nightmares over MA's hulks that took swimming by storm.....until DQ'd for artificial "assistance".

Banning Shayna Jack from championships is a ‘double standard’
30/07/2019

The doping predicament engulfing embattled Australian swimming star Shayna Jack highlights the “double standards” of the world governing body, four-time Olympic swimming gold medallist Libby Trickett says. Ms Trickett says the Australian swimmer was sent home immediately once she returned a positive drug test while China's Sun Yang “has a hearing that’s about to happen in September”, yet he was still allowed to compete. Ms Jack was barred from competing in the World Championships in South Korea after testing positive to Ligandrol — a drug used to build muscle mass. The freestyle sprinter continues to maintain her innocence and is fighting the results. ‘I had never heard of it before, let alone know how to pronounce it,’ she wrote on social media.

My view is I believe Shayna is innocent and didn’t do it knowingly or on purpose S J S J stanleyg stanleyg it’s just what my gut is telling me.

Its a can of worms....You never know what is in your food these days.

While I tend to agree that it may be a case of innocent ingestion we live or die by our stand against drugs or "masking" agents.

Shaynas issue was current and she had the best chance of defending or accepting guilt.

Rickards is more difficult
Its a test of a sample from eight years ago and is for a banned masking agent not a performance enhancing or recovery drug.
He swam in a heat not the medal winning team but the inference would be if he didnt swim then they team would not have been in the final.

You do have to wonder WHY given all the current issues the doping agency has to process they singled out a test from eight years ago.
Could be WADA is subject of pressure from a certain aggrieved Government.

Congrats to all those who made the team and those who tried their best to make the team including Cody Simpson.

Groves? not so much.
I tend to think there is more to her story like an injury or loss of performance that would not have seen her qualify so she used to opportunity for other issues.

while its athletics not swimming I would rather L Cabbage have stood by her umbrage and principles not going to the Olympics.
