Dead rubber but still a good game.

Will they keep the same teams ?

Qld may well be looking at Hunt and a few others. Especially in the forwards.

All the cries for DCE or Taylor to replace Hunt. Hunt had a set of forwards who didn't go forward. I'm not sure DCE would have been better. Ponga did have a good game - for a debutant - but again - can you afford to have him AND Taylor/DCE come in ?

I felt McCulloch might be the one to go. He did not shine - I have trouble thinking of anything he did well. While Cook was contained this time he played very well and set up plays for us. He was clearly all over McCulloch.

I can't see Kevvie replacing Hunt, even if he did seem to crumble under pressure towards the end of the game. I think Wallace needs to go, in 2 games he has done very little up front, maybe bring in Joe Ofahengaue. On McCulloch, similar to what you said about Hunt SJ, if the forwards can get a bit of a roll on, then his job gets a lot easier too.

I thought it was great having State of Origin 2 on the Sunday night and having only rep games that weekend. I wish they would do that for every State of Origin game.

I hope Qld don't go down the NSW track and blame one player.

Hunt did a few bad kicks - so who is to blame for the other 99% of the game ? They had 13 on 12 for 10 minutes - yet couldn't score. Their forwards didn't go forward - one of them did something like 25 metres - same as Game 1. Why aren't they accused.

Hunt looks better for us as he has a 5/8th that fits in with him. That's what Qld had - Cronk/Smith/Slater AND JT. Perfect fit. All they have now is an ageing Slater.

I don't think bringing DCE in will help. But - I'd look at Hunt for utility maybe. McCulloch was next to useless - he was supposed to be dummy half. Yet he has escaped most of the flak.

Still - if Hunt isn't picked it means we have him for the Melbourne game … :)

More than happy t have him for the Storm game especially if he does those successful in goal kicks and leaves those shocking clearance kicks in his kit bag for Qld .
NSW targetted him so he was virtually nullified however none of the others except Slater really stepped up.
Hopefully more of the same in Game 3 and instead of a cockroach mascot we need a dead rubber mascot for this game:D

There's no such thing as a dead rubber in State of Origin! It all counts towards the total wins/losses! Hopefully NSW win because we have some serious catching up to do!
