Match Week 10 – Squad Ins and Outs: Sydney FC v Macarthur FC

Macarthur FC head coach Ante Milicic has named his squad for Sunday’s Sydney Derby against Sydney Fc at Netstrata Juiblee Stadium.
With both sides coming off a losses last start, both teams will be looking to bounce back into the winner’s circle after the Bulls suffered a 4-1 defeat to Western United and Sydney FC going down to Melbourne City.
The Bulls will be buoyed knowing Sydney have only won two of their last seven A-League matches at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.
While there has only been one previous meeting, there is no love lost between these two sides.
No team has scored the opening goal of the game on more occasions this A-League season than Macarthur FC (5); the Bulls are undefeated (W4, Dl) when they have struck first on the day.
Though the Sky Blues nabbed all 3-points only a few weeks ago at Campbelltown Stadium, against a 10 man Bulls outfit for a large portion of the match, coach Ante Milicic said he was pleased the way the squad has regrouped and focused.
“I must say I’m pleased the way we have been training, we have re-focused and looking forward to paying the Champions on their home ground.”
“Last week (against Western United) we didn’t put enough scoreboard pressure when we had the chance to. We’ll take a lot of positivises from the match. We were decent in patches and created enough chances but we need to take advantage of the parts of the game we did dominate.”
A massive storm rolled over Campbelltown Stadium the last time these two teams met.
“Both us and Sydney have changed somewhat since the last time we met, but it’s a local derby, there will always be something a little extra in the game.”

Matt Derbyshire’s goal earned Macarthur FC a measure of revenge on Sydney FC as the Bulls claimed a 1-0 victory after the Sky Blues were reduced to 10 men before half-time. Derbyshire shot himself to the top of the A-League’s Golden Boot charts after sensational wing play from Spain...
Markel Susaeta is only getting started, said Macarthur FC captain Mark Milligan after the Spaniard starred in the 1-0 win against Sydney FC. Susaeta’s spell-binding dribble from the Bulls’ left wing ended with Matt Derbyshire adding the simplest of tap-ins from the edge of the six-yard box to...
