You have to ask why are we playing Palestine?.
They still have their blood boiling over recognising Jerusalem as the Israeli Capitol. Its a bit of a risk.
Which part of Syria are they playing after that?.

Palestine are apart of the AFC.
Both games are in the UAE, far from a war torn country.

No offence to Jordan, but if we can't beat them then that is bad signs for us, because there are stronger football nations in Asia than Jordan!

Cahill supports Macarthur South West Sydney A-League team
Daniel McGookin, Macarthur Chronicle Camden
January 10, 2019 5:29pm

Speaking at a Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon promotional event in Camden, Australia’s greatest Socceroo Tim Cahill has praised the inclusion of the Macarthur South West Sydney in the A-League.

The four-time World Cup player, who has family in the Macarthur region, said the area had all the ingredients required for a flourishing national sports team.

“I think sport is always flourishing in these sort of areas,” Cahill said.

“Any team, any sport, (whether it be) rugby, cricket, netball or soccer, they will flourish in these sort of areas because the fans are very patriotic, they get behind their teams and they get behind their city.

“It’s going to be interesting to see how they do but I look forward to learning more about the club.”

Despite the support, Australia’s leading all-time goalscorer said he had no interest in being involved with the Macarthur South West Sydney, or any A-League club, for the time being.

“I’ve got no interest in being affiliated with any club,” he said.

“Who knows what happens in the future but at the moment I am solely focused on just supporting sport and the game in Australia.”

The successful Macarthur South West A-League bid team: Sam Krslovic, Chad Walker, Gino Marra and Mayor George Brticevic.

Football Federation Australia confirmed last month the introduction of a Macarthur South West Sydney A-League team from the 2020-2021 season.

The team will play out of Campbelltown Sports Stadium, and is backed by Walker Corporation chairman Lang Walker.
