A change of coach and Sloan will stay.......or was Hook correct in dropping him?

He would be good for us I feel. We need something.
I think Hook erred in not persevering with Dufty.
He promoted Sloan as the next big thing too early .
As a result Dufty would have mentally suffered and his form at the Doggies showed it.
Sloan also then got dropped which would have had an impact on him as well.

If Hook cant find a few big offloading islanders who can tackle perhaps he should look to England and see if he can find a few Dick Huddart or Mal Reilly style forwards.
Our defence, discipline and conceding so many metres along with lack of ball offloading forwards needs drastic action.
as long as he has a contract his agent needs to negotiate him out of it.
He is welcome to do a "tallis" and sit out the remainder of his contract but the club needs to have a long hard look at how it manages those young players it nurtures only to see them leave and play well elsewhere.
More good players leave the "Gong" than go there.
depends on his contract....If he wilfully does not play he may not be entitled to be paid .
I am sure even our erstwhile landscaper would not pay his employees if they did not work.
