St George Illawarra Dragons hooker Cameron King has had scans on his knee and will sidelined for up to four weeks.

The Hurstville United junior has undergone scans and has met with Club medical staff.

King sustained the injury in the 25-12 win over the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at Sharks Stadium, Cronulla on Saturday.

"Cameron had scans on his knee today and we will continue to do some further investigations and monitor his progress," said Dragons Performance Director Andrew Gray.

"At this stage he is likely to be out for around four weeks".

Furthermore, prop Michael Weyman sustained a minor calf-strain during training last week and will be sidelined for up to three weeks.

Its started ... :stop:

Didn't even make the first game. His brother is a top centre but has the same problem.

St George Illawarra Dragons fullback Gerard Beale is expected to be sidelined for an extended amount of time having re-ruptured his ACL graft. He will undergo further consultations with specialists before a finalised timeframe for his rehabilitation is determined.

The New Zealand international previously underwent scans having suffered the ailment to his knee in a collision with an opposition player during the Club’s 19-16 victory over the Newcastle Knights at WN Jubilee Oval, Kogarah on Sunday.

That's awfully bad luck having 2 season ending knee injuries in the same side.

Yes - our 1 and 7. Plus 9 (King) is out too. We miss Weyman badly.

Its amazing. Beale was starting to get it together too. Dugan might be the answer now.

That would be hard on any Team.
I agree Muppet - imagine Slater and Cronk gone from Melbourne - or Smith and Slater ?

With a side like Melbourne, if you took there 1, 7 and 9 out, they would probably never score a try. The majority of rhere side are only journey men. The Saints still have players left like Morris who can still create something with little or no room to move.

You can throw in the number 6 in that category as well for Melbourne. They have four quality play makers. Most clubs are lucky if they have 2.
