Wallabies defeated Georgia 27-8.

Job done for Australia as they beat a resilient Georgia in the driving rain and gusting wind in Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa on Friday evening. But despite a strong set-piece and moments of brilliance in the loose, the Wallabies have plenty to work on as they march on to the quarter-finals.

ENGLAND 40 DEF AUSTRALIA 16

Captain Owen Farrell delivered 20 points with a flawless kicking performance and Jonny May scored a brace of tries as England powered into the Rugby World Cup 2019 semi-finals.

Farrell punished Australia throughout a pulsating match which puts England into their first semi-final since 2007 and takes Eddie Jones’s record to 7-0 against Michael Cheika’s Wallabies.

I saw a bit of it what a mess haven’t watched in years, scrums and line outs a mess too many penalties scrappy all the same trash.

Wallabies were shocking.

Wobblies played like they have for years.....badly
Its a RUNNING game and the wobblies keep playing it like the FORWARDS are the only option since Campese retired and they sacked Izzy because a certain sponsor got hurt feelings.
Their lineouts, scrums and constant poor kicking game has been woeful or inept at best for years.
Someone tried to make the wobblies look good by saying they pressured the Poms into making a lot tackles while they only had to make a lot less.
The reason for that is two fold.......
  1. they let in a lot more points so didn't have to make as many or couldn't make as many tackles
  2. The wobbly style of using the forwards repeatedly to gain small amounts of field position means the opposition make s a lot more tackles.
The answer to their problems is a new coach combined with adopting a few running game NZ style of play and actually do something about scrums, line outs and kicks....someone needs to tell them that in order to score points you NEED the ball and kicking it back to the opposition all the time means two things....
  1. you have no faith in your back line
  2. you give the opposition more opportunity to score.
They have tried Cheika. Jones, Deans so who next as coach?

Same old same old with this WC: you watch the AB's and it is like they are playing a different sport. The ease with which they put the much-fancied Irish to the sword was impressive.England will have to be much better than they have been so far to make any impression. Still, they have lost before...

I read the electronic news of the game this morning.
It read that England beat the Allblacks with a very good game plan from their Aussie "super coach" only nowhere in the story did they mention the coach.
It can only be good for the game for some other sides to be in a final besides the Kiwis.

I reckon they shoud make an offer to Izzy - pay up - and forget about him and it !

Cheaper in the long term/run.

Rugby Australia settles with Israel Folau, acknowledging that when he paraphrased The Bible, "The social media post reflected Mr Folau's genuinely held religious beliefs and (he) did not intend to harm or offend any person".

Apologies all round.

Israel Folau has finally settled his legal dispute with Rugby Australia and NSW Rugby.

The terms of the settlement will remain confidential, according to a joint statement released by Rugby Australia.

“Rugby Australia, NSW Rugby and Israel Folau have today settled their legal dispute following the dismissal of Israel Folau after he posted a religious message on social media (the Social Media Post),” the RA statement read.
