Round 8 Line Up vs Bulldogs: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/2020/06/30/round-eight-line-up-vs-bulldogs/

Pretty happy with that side! Jimmy comes into the starting Line Up for Burns which is good to see. Will be interesting who starts on the left and who starts on the right. This see's Burnsy drop to the bench and the rest of the side remains unchanged from last week. I would have liked to have seen Sironen in the starting side in place of Lowe but I guess it's okay he's on the bench, he just needs more minutes and Lowe needs to step up big time. I'd also probably prefer to not carry a back on the bench (I'd have Sele there) but oh well, I can see Wayne's reasoning.

Still, a good Line Up for this week!

Mago needs game time to get some match fitness though imo.

Fair enough side . Although I'd rather Lowe wasn't starting . Now let's see how many on here are calling for Campbell or the Jets head if they make defensive errors this week . I'll be waiting with baited breath ...:p:p:p

That’s possibly our best centre combo! likely to be wanting to lynch Cody for not winning the game!
Sorry wrong forum!😁

Yeh possibly is but there will soon be another player that everyone's picking on now that Burns has gone. It's a shame he couldn't have played this one against one of the easier backlines in the comp. Na... Pretty sure he'd still be the teams scapegoat. And yes you're right Cody will cop a lynching moreso now for sure.

"We're focused on the now and what we can do." - Burgess: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/2020/06/30/thomas-burgess-media-round-8/

"Execution is the big one for us." - Cook: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/2020/06/30/damien-cook-media-round-8/

Love the attitude from all the boys there, especially Cookie. He has nailed it when speaking about the situation we currently find ourselves in. It seems the execution and poor dicipline is being addressed which is a good sign.

It should be a far superior performance against Canterbury given the dearth of media scrutiny on both Mitchell and Burt. That is both distracting and physically draining.... for the entire squad. However should The Crisps fail here its time to look at the personnel changes required for next season. I would be seriously considering young Taafe and finding some young vigorous front and second row players. Penrith Camberra Easts et al seem to be capable of doing thus and reaping the benefits yet The Crisps continue plodding on with Lowe Nicholls etc. One needs to ask: where are the players that should be coming through from the victorious U/20 squad last season? With development and encouragement Taafe could become another Keary: elusive, quick thinking and dangerous. Paulo is another prospect that needs developing especially with the erratic, chaotic Gagai still there.

Taaffe is not part of the top 30 squad and therefore is ineligible for selection.

No they'd chew him up and spit him out over there ...lol
I don't know why he's replying to my comments . I already stated I wouldn't be conversing with him . Pointless exercise.
Lol, yeah sure.

You didn't seem to have a problem with criticizing players like Nicholls and Doueihi. Was that picking on them or making them a scapegoat??? Maybe you just don't like it if a player is aboriginal. 🤣

managed to get down to the team training session this morning.

Beautiful day in Sydney, as an aside.

Key item of interest for me was that despite Campbell being named in the 3 jersey (as far as I can recall) he trained on the left edge for most of the session that I saw.

He seemed to be adapting to the edge shift ok, although he was stood up once by Burns (I think) who was in the red shirt.

The other interesting thing was that Wayne was very heavily engaged in speaking to the players on that left edge and spoke to Campbell at length about his positional play (this was all the 1st side in defence on their line).

I will also say that the left edge of the red team made a number of tackle breaks / scored a few “tries” against our right and JTJ / Braidon (who I think swapped in about 1/2 way through) were caught short on that right edge a number of times.

I couldn’t see if it was Gags outside them or not...too far away from where I was standing, but I think the young winger we got from the broncs (whose name I cant remember) was outside JTJ at least a couple of times.

That’s kind of all I remember about the session, and I had to leave before training finished.

Overall they looked sharp. It was good to see how much Cody and Latrell were speaking to the troops (they were closest to where I was standing).

(not going to say that they trained the house down! 😀)

from Prowsey off the Pride.
