Late mail: Kieran Foran makes a long-awaited return from shoulder injury, while Jack Cogger has been dropped. The Daily Telegraph reports the Dogs are planning a desperate backline shuffle. The mass changes include Dallin Watene-Zelezniak moving from fullback to wing, Will Hopoate from centre to fullback, Reimis Smith from left centre to right, Jake Averillo brought into the centres, and Christian Crichton axed.
It's like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic!

Late mail: Dragons rookie halfback Adam Clune was “hammered” in training on Tuesday. There are fears the 25-year-old, named at halfback by coach Paul McGregor for Monday’s battle royale against the Bulldogs, could miss the game after breaking his nose. The Dragons are confident he will overcome the injury to take his place.
Maybe it will be Dufty to fullback and Norman to the halves.

Disgraceful. Mary has turned us into Illawarra - and we even play in that jersey ! A team that expects to lose.
He’s a big problem mate is Mary and he will be sacked this week S J S J but still the players have a lot to answer for. Ben Hunt should be sent packing tonight!....

Norman is very ordinary.

Frizell Is going to Newcastle isn’t he? He’s just playing like he doesn’t care.

I think the issues in the background at this club run much deeper than Mary.

I thought the Bulldogs were poor, but the Dragons... actually changes to the back-line for the Dogs did bring some improvement on their previous poor displays. The Dragons showed neither heart not organisation and will continue not to trouble the scoreboard operators if they carry on like that.

Mary must go, surely?

Words almost fail me. Its the same old crap they have been serving up for a long time.
They looked lethargic and like they would rather be elsewhere in the warm up.
They walked off to the sheds looking like they were condemned men and came out playing like it.

Mary blamed Dufty as the fall guy for last weeks effort and Norman was not much better.
He was "safer " under the high ball but was slow and certainly looked anything but capable of sparking the team if a they created a gap.

Once...Only once with eleven minutes to go did they indulge in any real offload play....FOUR in a set and they made ground only to fail over the line .
Mary said he WONT resigen but understands if he is SACKED....that wouldn't have anything to do with a big pay out on his 700K odd salary?

We might as well have 17 forwards out there - we don't use our backs really.

We might as well have 17 forwards out there - we don't use our backs really.
The backs are catch and pass with very little lure the opposition to commit to a tackle before passing.
Our forwards have very little "go forward" in them and offload in the tackle is still a rarity.
That one passage of play with four offloads showed spark BUT apart from RAVI they have no one to take advantage of it.
Dufty is more dangerous at FB. If he can calm down and catch the high ball his confidence would grow.
He certainly should not be the scapegoat for the clubs solid grip on the "spoon"
He needs support from his wingers though and Norman got that a few times but he has no edge of your seat spark to his play.
I was surprised even the "canned" crowd didn't boo them but like the rest of us they were probably more sorry for the rabble than upset.
