Is it me - or are we seeing a few forward passes let go ? Also - both tries had big doubts.

Is this game just an extra that the Refs are going to let "things" go ?

We look awful, but boy !

And - when will the NRL do something about Melbourne's training tactics. Do they want a player maimed for life ?

That tackle on Lawrie was a disgrace and yet nothing happens.

They keep talking about the stars they left out. We had a few too. And 11 of our top 13 were local juniors.

The problem is our "local" juniors are better than most of our NRL players.
The Storm would have flogged us if Bellamy had not rested his "stars".
He "rested" enough star players he could almost be accused of treating the game as an after thought.

The speed of the game is bringing in more forward passes that go unseen by one ref and two lines people.
The Dragons do their fair share of forward passes and you take the good with the bad.
We certainly dont want the "bunker" pulling up play all the time either.

On the bright side Sullivan made Norman look like an amateur at 5/8th.

Frizzell finally made an impact as a running forward but against storm reserve graders.
He leaves us a winner scoring two tries and getting away TWO offloads in the tackle.

The Dragons started off as per usual...poorly...against the Storm but kept at it to get the win and some of those young players showed enough to be a core component of the 2021 side.

He is a good player but often doesn't look as good playing for the Dragons as he does in representative teams. I guess he is better with better players around him to put him into holes, etc.

It would have been good for a lot of his back-up players and fringe first graders getting another game, in case they are needed for the finals. It's not like they could've moved up or down on the ladder anyway.
