This is for general news and any news that that doesn't really fit elsewhere.
Some of those countries are really stretching the definition of 'European'.
Canada? South Africa? Jamaica?

Seriously, though, the continued (if slow) growth of the sport internationally is good to see. You perhaps didn't get it so much in Australia, but believe me, when rugby union went (officially) professional, the TV and media here were full of talking heads predicting the swift demise of rugby league, which they thought would rapidly be subsumed into union. Well, for all we criticise our governing bodies, that didn't happen, and the game is broadly speaking in good health.
Interesting that both Macdonald and Sims have been chosen. Would have thought with QLD's depth this year, they would have been excluded.
