I've seen Isaac John throw a forward pass from dummy half . Pennies can keep that one, but yes, hope there's a pinch in the pipeline to the Pennies soon.

If they bought any more from us, they would have to change their name to the Penrith Warriors.

THE Panthers are set to upgrade and extend the contract of a player determined to end his former club's finals hopes on Sunday night. Former Cowboys hooker and Panthers revelation James Segeyaro has revealed that he wants to star at the foot of the mountains for the rest of his career.

This bloke was a top pick-up from the Cows.

He would have made a big difference for the Cowboys with his enthusiasm alone.

Panthers coach Ivan Cleary denies he's chasing Warriors playmaker Shaun Johnson, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't like him in his team.

There has been plenty of speculation this season that Johnson could be heading to the other side of the Tasman when his contract with the Warriors runs out at the end of next season, with the Panthers and Bulldogs being the clubs he has been linked to the most.

Looks like it's on ... ;)

The Penrith Panthers are pleased to announce Penrith local junior Peter Wallace is returning to the club for the next three seasons.

General Manager Rugby League Phil Moss says “We’re very excited to have a local junior returning to Panthers. He’s been performing tremendously well for the mighty Brisbane Broncos for a number of years. Peter is a perfect fit with the culture that Coach Ivan Cleary has created for the Panthers club.

“This now completes our recruitment for the 2014 season”.

Glad that Wallace found a home after the Broncos did a bit of a dirty on him.

The Panthers are delighted to announce Ivan Cleary has extended his contract with the club, and will stay on as head NRL coach for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Ivan came to Penrith at the start of the 2012 season on a 3 year deal as part of the club’s rebuilding process, and since then he has made an enormous impact on and off the field, and has produced some outstanding results.

Executive General Manager Phil Gould lured Cleary over from the Warriors to develop the junior ranks at the foot of the mountains.

Idris to sign - leaving Gold Coast. Hard to believe.

Homesickness motivates Jamal Idris's move from Gold Coast to Penrith Panthers

http://www.couriermail.com.au/sport...penrith-panthers/story-:)iabjcr-1226796810058

Also hard to believe is the number players prepared to trot out the feeble excuse of "Homesick" or "Family Reasons". If Idris was at all genuine about this, would be playing in the Nigerian R. L.

Ben Barba is another player to move recently for highly contrived family reasons. Ben shifted his ex-partner and her daughter to Brisbane just so he could use family as a reason to walk away from his Bulldogs contract for the Broncos.

Apparently Ricky Stuart was homesick for Canberra. After how many years away? Turn it up Ricky.

Well, Idris is slow and highly injury prone so I wonder who out of Gus Gould or Ivan Cleary really wanted to hire him. I'm thinking Gus.

PENRITH has stood down former Origin centre Jamal Idris from Friday night’s match against Parramatta.

Idris was involved in an alcohol-related incident, believed to have occurred on the Gold Coast, while the club was having the bye last weekend.

The club was made aware during the week and a decision was made to stand him down from the match against the Eels.

I heard on the radio today, he has been stood down indefinitely for personal reasons. Not sure what that entails.

The Panthers are excited to announce that Dallin Watene-Zelezniak has extended his contract with the club for another year, which will keep him at the foot of the mountains until the end of the 2016 season.
The 19 year old has moved quickly up the ranks at Panthers, making his NRL debut for the club in Round 5 last year against Canberra.
