luckily for us and thanks to the LNP we have sensible gun restrictions unlike our American friends who crazily interpret their 2nd amendment to mean they can have access to any type of gun they want and will defend that right no matter the death toll.

No mention in the story however of the ex student actually discharging his parents hunting rifles at anyone other than firing them off in the carpark but the world is getting more unsafe by the day so be careful out there

Well you can get a licence if you have a legitimate reason for owning one…..just the type of weapons that americans are addicted to are not.

sad to say it but one of the reasons Americans justify their right to all guns is that they are…..
responsible gun owners.

they then conveniently overlook that all mass shooters were once deemed responsible gun owners until they were not.
mostf not all legally purchased the. Weapons which have no place in civilian use….legally

as you well know knives have a legitimate purpose in modern society.
Of course if you want to make a case for using your hands to eat then you might have a point.

Automatic or semi auto weapons do not....
if you cant hunt with a bolt action 5 shot rifle then maybe you need to become a vegan
if you cant defend your home with a shotgun ( oh thats right people cant afford a home in the cities so they could be entitled to get a firearms licence in the country) you shouldnt have a gun at all.

seriously though there are laws about carrying knives other than for their intended purpose such as trades use or eating.
If you are suspected of carrying one and cant give a legitimate reason for it then the knife is confiscated and you either get charged or a nice little fine in NSW

The cops are also not the stazi so they will take into consideration where that knife is located such as the bottom of your back pack or stashed in the back of your trousers.

cant say I am sad to see him go.
21 years is a long time trying to keep it interesting on a breakfast show and he has been only doing 4 days a week for a long time now

was he boned or was he pushed?...
either way I am sure he will find other things do along with devote more time to his Port Power footy team.

Of course his departure might make Natalie Barr feel a bit nervous given her length of service to the show
