Had a nice arvo at Cronulla. Someone died today at South Cronulla Beach and two others seriously hurt S J S J stanleyg stanleyg Southy Southy was packed down there we didn’t go in the water looked very rough was 50k /hr winds but a hot wind.

when I go the beach these days for a swim I go to silver beach during the week and its not crowded.
Shelly beach pool is good but surfing or swimming near those rocks isnt a good idea and I thought thats where the person got into difficulties

Often problems come when people swim beyond their ability - ie in the surf - too far out, in isolated/dangerous spots (rocks, rips etc) - dams and rivers.

It is not common to drown in a proper backyard pool. I don't mean those blow up pools but the bigger ones.

Yep and so many don’t do it as they want to get a tan.

Really silly as they put themselves at much greater risk of skin cancer.
