They're always changing their advice. Anything in moderation is the key.

Exercise - watch your weight and eat good food - eg fruit and vegetables. And the annual check-up.

Speaking of health issues - I split my finger nail the other day and without thinking just ripped a bit off. Its as sore as hell now. Enflamed.

AND - I keep bumping it ...

Be careful it doesn’t become infected. After showering at night I’d be bathing it in a dish with warm salty water then putting betadine on it to help prevent infection and bandaging it up.

S J S J I see the podiatrist every 5-6 weeks as my big toes point in and with my work shoes too it means I get all hard skin build up under my big toe nails and they ingrow too so they have to scalpel the skin and nail out it is pretty uncomfortable. Then for the next 10 days I bandage and drown it in betadine.

Putting hydrogen peroxide on too which you can get from Woolies can help stop the skin from becoming even harder,

S J S J I just been to the dentist again the baby tooth they built up around 3-4 weeks ago chipped again the first night that I’d had it done only a few hours beforehand. I had to wait the 3-4 weeks though as they were booked up and then they had to build 2 other baby teeth up too. They are so sensitive though I hit the roof so they had to give me 5 big needles to be able to numb me up enough. My lip is all numb and cheeks now I won’t be able to eat for 4 hours.

Also they had to take an impression for a lower mouth splint/retainer for my bottom teeth to sleep at night with. Health fund didn’t cover any of the $250 either even though I’m in top cover.

So it wasn’t cheap at all today. Health fund covered around 70percent of the fillings/build ups which was nice it’s the CBHS fund. She didn’t charge me though for the one that chipped on first night after she last did it.

And the 2 build ups today she discounted them for me. She’s a lovely Chinese dentist I’ve seen her for years and she knows I’m not on a big wage. She knows my teeth so well too and she’s very kind,

Usually the nail grows out and its all OK. I do use betadine on it though.
