I know we have to have it - private I mean - but its still not enough ! I have a very good one with Medibank. Went to the dentist - said I should have a crown. Not to worry - I'm with Medibank - I'm covered.
Famous last words. $1500 for the job !!! Medibank covers $1000. So $500 left for me.
What's the point of it if it doesn't cover the job ?

I can have the tooth out for about $235 with a rebate of around $180. So a cost to me of around $60.
Its just a shitty little back one - can barely see it when you look.

HO HO HO !!! No - they are all very good thankfully. Mine have popped out at the back so have given me some really good big teeth.
This is a little one - bottom - just before the biggies start.
Just had the unfortunate situation of an abscess under a big back tooth molar. Not only couldn't chew on it but it almost pushed the tooth out of the socket.
Emergency trip fitted in at dentist.
Of course it has a crown on it so choices were.....remove the tooth...major surgery as crown would have broken off and then roots dug out.....or interim measure of anitbiotics.
took the antibiotics script, signed the receipt and walked out.
Dentist took what health fund paid and I had to pay for antibiotics.
They tell you that you need to be in a health fund with the major selling point being "you get to have the Dr of your choice".
Unless you have chronic illness most of the Dr's you see you know they wouldn't be there if they couldn't do the treatment so a personal choice is just the health funds way of saying..."they can charge you more and offer less for your choice" when "your" Dr charges you more than they are prepared to pay.
The only benefit apart from having a "gap" payment is if you need treatment you may get into hospital earlier.
If its non emergency and you DONT have health cover you may have to wait on a list to get in for treatment.
If its an emergency you get straight in and the only difference is you walk or limp out WITHOUT a Bill while those with health cover start receiving Bills from Medicos you have never heard of or wonder how they all fitted into the op theatre.
Lifting heavy pots above my head. It was alright until I cooled down...I think I twisted my neck a few pots to reach their spot.
Today was a bugger working, even though I rung a few physio yesterday and they said "we all booked up for this week". So I contacted a massage woman who knows all my injuries and she was booked today but I'm the first on Friday (tomorrow). I wanted a physio or her, as it's a neck problem and a bruised trap. Hopefully just a full on rub out. Then rest for 1 day. As I've iced it and anti-inflammatory drug.
Always a good start to the New Year.
Missus broke a tooth
My abscess flared up under my molar on New Yew day
Off to Dentist today but hopefully just more meds for me as it is starting to settle.
Strange though the wifes ex sent her a text sympathising with her tooth.....He broke one and has been told its off to the "oral" surgeon and he is looking at $4000 odd to remove it. Probably cost him nothing in the end being on the government welfare age pension but he might have to wait to get in.

Yes, but some work if you aren't careful - you get injured. My appointment is 1 hour time.
I sometimes get a lower back issue. My physio gave me these 3 or 4 set exercise which I do if it occurs. They work VERY well.
