Daly Cherry-Evans has been sent home from Manly's recovery and video session to ensure his teammates don't pick up a virus that has laid the Sea Eagles skipper low.

Cherry-Evans was a late withdrawal from media duties on Monday morning having reported at Manly HQ feeling ill.
Manly captain Daly Cherry-Evans returned to training on Tuesday after being laid low with a stomach bug and is a certain starter for Friday's sudden-death clash.

Manly centre Brad Parker has also been slapped with a fine for a grade one tripping charge on Rabbitohs centre James Roberts.

Parker will be fined $1,700 for an early guilty plea or risks a $2,250 fine if he is found guilty at the judiciary.

Gun Sea Eagles forwards Jake Trbojevic and Addin Fonua-Blake will both sit out the entire off-season with shoulder surgery expected to rule them out of the opening rounds of 2020.

The Test duo are scheduled to go under the knife on Tuesday with a recovery period of up to four months predicted.
