Titans centre Brenko Lee was also handed a grade-one dangerous contact charge over an incident in the second half of the same game, won comfortably by Melbourne.

Lee can escape suspension and will be docked 75 demerit points if he enter an early guilty plea.

Titans back Brenko Lee and Storm forward Joe Stimson also both took guilty pleas to dangerous contact charges on Tuesday, but neither will miss a match.

Hipgrave is being rested as a precautionary measure under concussion protocols after being injured against the Broncos in Round 13.

Hipgrave consulted with and was tested by specialists, and it was decided an extended break from the game was the best result for the young Titan’s future.

Titans centre Brian Kelly faces a week on the sideline if found guilty after being charged with a dangerous throw on Dragons forward Patrick Kaufusi at Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday.

Kelly can avoid suspension by taking the early guilty plea while Gold Coast teammate Tyrone Peachey has been slapped with a $1500 fine for a grade one careless high tackle charge ($1150 for an early plea) for an incident involving Korbin Sims.
