I dunno....

Ben Barba has been flapping his gums to DCE about moving to Sharktown and if DCE was put off by the Drugs scandal swirling around the Titans, then the Sharks are a cert. After all, it's not there are any drug-cheating first graders on the Shire. Wait what?

True - Sharks have put up a BIG offer.

Perhaps they could be sponsored by "corrections Inc" . Its a thriving business with no shortage of applicants.
The whole mess is now sub judice and innocent or guilty its brought the game into disrepute ......again.

The NRL has taken control of the Gold Coast Titans. CEO Dave Smith said the move would secure the club's long term future.

Might be good opportunity to relocate the Titans.
Yes...How 'bout we locate them to Iceland....oops no...on second thought it would be too cruel to send the team to a country that sounds like it's named after a drug.

Q: What is Ice?
A: It's the Aussie name for pure methamphetamine. In New Zealand, it's called "P" for pure, although it might as well stand for "P" as in profit. The main problem is not its effect on health or the personal finances of users or the families of users, but that users do abnormally horrid things when the run out the stuff.

If there was to begin with there isn't anymore.

Without dredging up the past there has always been something about that whole ASADA scandal that still seems very fishy to me.

Your dead right Mr Sharky. In fact, the blonde on the left sums up everything very neatly.

I despair of the way the NRL brass just grabbed their ankles and let ASADA run with headlines like "The Blackest Day in Australian Sport". What a crock! Even the World Anti-doping Agency moved to distance themselves from that one.

And of course this season, you've got your not so secret weapon at hand...:)

All the best for 2015.

GOLD Coast will be armed with a $4 million war chest and the financial surety of the NRL to embark on a recruitment spree which could make Neil Henry’s team the power hitters of the competition.

After years of uncertainty and being forced to pick the scraps off the player market by recycling troubled players on second chances, the Titans now have the confidence and bargaining power to reach for the stars.

Manly halfback Daly Cherry-Evans remains a priority and Tuesday’s ownership takeover by the NRL has significantly improved their standing for the Test No. 7, while their pockets remained heavily lined for next season

The only thing "fishy" about it was that it smacked of political opportunism instead of being allowed to be dealt with by an inept Asada in its usual inept way.
Asada is probably packing its work kit and ordering extra litmus test paper right now.

TITANS boss Graham Annesley hopes a turbulent week will end on an enormous high after the Gold Coast became the favourites to secure Test star Daly Cherry-Evans.

Cherry-Evans is set to finally announce his future on Friday and the decision by the NRL to take full ownership of the club is believed to have swung negotiations favourably in the direction of the Titans.

Cherry-Evans is believed to have had serious doubts about the future of the club but they have now been erased.

-------------

Would be wrong if Manly lost both halves. Its not in the spirit of the game imo.

When it comes to the Titans a few players might be wheeling out the 11foot barge poles that they use for things you wouldn't touch with a 10 foot barge pole. Its going to take some real inducement (cash) to get players up there at the moment.

Former Nrl, Afl and now RU man K Hunt got his charges for supply/possess reduced to possess and a guilty plea got him a pittance of a fine and No Conviction. The alleged offenders at the Titans would appear to have nothing to worry about

Shocking outcome - while I don't support what Indonesia is doing they must wonder about our attitude to drugs.

A $30k fine ! What a joke.

Looks like the Titans just chewed through a large chunk of that $4million to get DCE on board. With his signing and few third party agreements some other player managers might smell the opportunity for $$$'s
