Chris Hill says Warrington's players "needed to take some of the pain" as higher earners at the Super League club agreed to an extended pay cut in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Warrington have not played since a 9-8 win over Castleford on 6 March.

Warrington Wolves have signed London Broncos prop Rob Butler on a two-year contract.

The 22-year-old won international recognition with England Knights in the win over Jamaica in October 2019 and was the only Championship-based player picked by Shaun Wane in the last squad.

He made a total of 40 appearances for Broncos and featured for them during their 2019 Super League campaign.

Warrington Wolves trio Ben Currie, Jason Clark and Matt Davis have signed new deals with the Super League club.
I’m stoked for Jason Clark, he will always hold a special place in my heart.

Do you know how long he extended for?

Greg Inglis says he has "fallen back in love with rugby league" having come out of retirement, and now wants to take Warrington to a new level of success.

The 34-year-old Australian superstar only arrived in England five days ago after signing a one-year deal with the Wolves.

But he's already planning on helping inspire his new club to silverware and says he is ready to peak again after two years out of the game.

Betfred Super League
Hull FC (2) 14
Tries: Connor, Tuimavave Goals: Sneyd 3
Warrington (2) 14
Tries: Hill, Mamo Goals: Ratchford 2, Widdop

Hull FC and Warrington missed nine attempts at goal to find a golden-point winner as they drew in Super League.

Jake Mamo scored a try for Warrington with the final play of the game to force extra time but neither side could land a drop-goal and Blake Austin missed a penalty attempt for Wire.

Tries from Jake Connor and Carlos Tuimavave looked to be enough for Hull to win a fourth-straight game.

But Chris Hill kept Warrington in touch before Mamo's last-gasp score.

Gareth Widdop landed the goal to take the game into golden-point extra time but a succession of efforts, some of which were speculative, failed the find the target and the match was drawn after two scoreless five-minute halves.

The dramatic ending was perfectly juxtaposed against a dire first half when the sides only exchanged a penalty goal each.

Betfred Super League
Warrington (12) 50
Tries: King, Currie 2, Inglis, D. Clark, Mamo, Charnley 2, Walker Goals: Ratchford 7
Hull KR (18) 26
Tries: Kenny-Dowall, Hall 2, Abdull, Linnett Goals: Abdull 3

Australian superstar Greg Inglis marked his Super League debut with a try to help Warrington to victory in a seesaw contest against Hull KR.

Rovers led at half-time as Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Ryan Hall and Jordan Abdull scored tries, with Toby King and Ben Currie replying for the Wire.

Currie added his second after the break before Hall's second for Rovers.

However, the Wire then pulled clear through Inglis, Daryl Clark, Jake Mamo, Josh Charnley and Danny Walker scores.

Kane Linnett's score late on was mere consolation for Rovers who again tested defences with their attacking play, but could not stop points flowing the other way as their two-game winning run ended.

Betfred Super League
Warrington (16) 38
Tries: Charnley, King 2, Widdop 3, D. Clark Goals: Ratchford 4
Castleford (10) 14
Tries: Trueman, Turner 2 Goals: Richardson

Gareth Widdop continued his excellent form in 2021 with a hat-trick to guide Warrington to victory over Castleford and make it four wins from seven.

First-half tries from Josh Charnley, Toby King and Widdop gave the Wire a first-half edge, while Cas scored through Jake Trueman and Jordan Turner.

Half-back Widdop crossed twice after the break to pull Warrington clear and collect his hat-trick.

King and Daryl Clark stretched out the lead before Turner's consolation.

This game was a dress rehearsal for the Challenge Cup semi-final between the two teams on 5 June.

They also met on the opening weekend of the season - a game won by Cas.
