Catalans Dragons full-back Sam Tomkins has won the 2021 Steve Prescott Man of Steel award.

Super League's annual award is decided by points accrued on a round-by-round basis across the season.

Tomkins joins Paul Sculthorpe and Andy Farrell in winning the award twice, having claimed it in 2012 during his first spell with Wigan Warriors.

The 32-year-old will look to cap a fine season with victory in Saturday's Grand Final against St Helens.

Betfred Super League Grand Final
Catalans (4) 10
Try: McMeeken Goals: Maloney 3
St Helens (6) 12
Tries: Naiqama 2 Goals: Coote 2

St Helens captured a third Super League Grand Final triumph in a row to shatter Catalans Dragons' hopes in a tense and gripping showpiece at Old Trafford.

A hard-fought showing allowed Saints to claim an eighth final win in total, equalling Leeds Rhinos' record.

Kevin Naiqama got the first try for St Helens but two penalties from James Maloney kept Catalans in touch at 6-4.

Mike McMeeken touched down for Catalans but centre Naiqama ended his Saints career on a high with the winning try.

Around 1,000 Catalans had travelled over from France to see their team in a maiden Grand Final, but they left heartbroken as St Helens' big-game experience told in front of a largely red and white following.

Instead, it was those Saints fans who were able to celebrate again having also seen their side beat Salford at Old Trafford in 2019 before edging past Wigan to win the Grand Final in Hull last season.

The Rhinos are the only other side to win the domestic competition three times on the trot, in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Betfred Women's Super League Grand Final
Leeds (0)
St Helens (10) 28
Tries: Burke 2, :)ningham, Hardcastle, Harris, Bush Goals: Stott 2

St Helens ran in six tries at Emerald Headingley as they hammered Leeds Rhinos on home soil to become the fourth Women's Super League winners.

Leah Burke, with a try in each half, Jodie :)ningham, Amy Hardcastle, Zoe Harris and Danielle Bush all got on the scoresheet as Saints became the first team to win the women's treble.

In front of a record women's gate of 4,235, Saints simply overpowered Leeds.

That made it a Super League double for the Saints.

St Helens followed Bradford (2017), Wigan (2018) and defending champions Leeds (2019) as the fourth side to win rugby league's Women's Super League title.

But the Saints women went one better than the men, who only won the double this season.

TOULOUSE MAKE THE SUPER LEAGUE FOR 2022

Featherstone Rovers suffered defeat in the Million Pound Game for the second successive time as Toulouse triumphed to become only the second French side to reach Super League.

Rovers, beaten by Toronto in 2019, were up against it when they turned round at half-time 16-0 down on French soil.

They did score two second-half tries through Brett Ferres and John Davies.

But tries from Mathieu Jussaume (2), Latrelle Schaumkel, Harrison Hansen and Jonathan Ford did the job.
