Betfred Challenge Cup final
Castleford Tigers (12) 12
Tries: Evalds, Trueman Goals: O'Brien 2
St Helens (6) 26
Tries: Fages, Roby, Makinson, Amor Goals: Coote 3 Pens: Coote 2

St Helens won the Challenge Cup for the first time in 13 years as they overturned a half-time deficit to beat Castleford.

In his final season as Tigers boss, this looked to be Daryl Powell's best hope of finally claiming silverware.

Castleford had hope as they overcame Theo Fages' early try with replies from Niall Evalds and Jake Trueman.

But tries from James Roby, Tommy Makinson and Kyle Amor secured Saints' 13th Challenge Cup triumph.

1895 Cup final, Wembley
Featherstone Rovers (22) 41
Tries: Doyle 2, Chisholm, Kopczak, Brown, Harrison, Hall Goals: Hall 5 Pen: Hall Drop-goal: Chisholm
York City Knights (10) 34
Tries: Jones-Bishop, Stock, Brining, Bass, Lewis, Whiteley Goals: Dixon 5

Featherstone Rovers won a cracking game of 13 tries at Wembley as they hung on to beat fellow Championship side York City Knights 41-34 and become the second team to lift the 1895 Cup.

In the Challenge Cup Final curtain raiser the two Yorkshire sides served up a classic.

Young winger Jacob Doyle scored two of Fev's tries in only his second game.

But York put up a great fight, shaded by seven tries to six.

For Featherstone, it was their fourth Wembley win, having won the Challenge Cup three times, in 1967, 1973 and 1983 - but this was their first triumph at the new Wembley.

The 2022 Challenge Cup final will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 28 May as it moves from its traditional Wembley home.

Wembley has hosted most finals since 1929, with the event briefly moving to the Principality Stadium and Twickenham during redevelopment in the 2000s.

The final will move back across north London and return to Wembley in 2023.

Leeds United's Elland Road will host the Challenge Cup triple-header on Saturday, 7 May 2022.

It is the third season the men's semi-finals and women's final will take place on the same day and same venue.

The Rugby Football League is trying to surpass the 4,235 attendance at the 2021 Women's Super League Grand Final.

"The growing profile of women's and girls' rugby league has been a huge success story," RFL chief commercial officer Mark Foster said.

"Taking the 2022 Betfred Women's Challenge Cup Final to Elland Road represents another significant step forward."

It is not the only rugby league event the the stadium will hold in 2022, with the ground also playing host to a men's semi-final in next year's Rugby League World Cup.

Last season's Women's Super League Grand Final at nearby Headingley holds the record for the highest attendance in a domestic women's rugby league fixture.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will hold the men's final 28 May as the showcase moves from its traditional Wembley home for one year only.

Betfred Challenge Cup third round: Hunslet v Siddal
Date: Sunday, 13 February Venue: South Leeds Stadium Kick-off: 13:00 GMT
Coverage: Live on BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport website and app

League One side Hunslet's Challenge Cup third round tie at home to community club Siddal will be shown live on BBC Sport on Sunday, 13 February.

The town of Hunslet has two Challenge Cup wins to its name, from 1908 and 1934, although the current club formed in 1973 after the old team's demise.

Siddal has long produced star names for the sport, such as Johnny Lawless, a 1998 cup winner with Sheffield Eagles.

Wigan's Morgan Smithies and Hull's Jake Connor are also Siddal alumni.

The Halifax-based club, for whom ex-England international Luke Robinson is also a former player and helps out as a coach, play in the National Conference League.

Their Challenge Cup exploits include victories over professional clubs Doncaster in 2010 and Newcastle Thunder in 2016, as well as welcoming Toronto Wolfpack to the sport with their first ever match in 2017.

Hunslet, meanwhile, got past Keighley in round two to progress.

The midweek draw for the next two rounds included some heavyweight ties, particularly in the fourth round where Halifax host Featherstone and Leigh will take on Widnes.
