I made the shrewd decision not to. We are severely lacking in the pack and will continue to struggle unless that is sorted. Whether George Burgess is the (partial) answer to our problems remains to be seen.

Distance has only made the Castleford Tigers' bond stronger, according to versatile back Peter Mata'utia.

The Samoa international, his team-mates and coaches have been isolated from one another for almost six weeks while the pandemic has put Super League on hold.

Sharing lockdown video diaries with each other is one way the Tigers have remained united in trying times.

Castleford (14) 28
Tries: Eden, Watts, Blair, Trueman Goals: Richardson 6

Castleford Tigers bounced back from their first defeat of the season by Wigan last week to see off Salford Red Devils, inspired by Paul McShane.

The two sides meet again in next weekend's Challenge Cup quarter final, live on BBC Two from 17:30 BST on Saturday.
