Foran was a passenger the whole night (possible injury?).
Nice big fine.
$25k is a lot.
Now a few to go - M'Bye seems an odd one to let go.
Movement at the Station - or Kennel.
Foran may retire from injury. M'Bye to Tigers. Woods to Cronulla. All by 30 June.
Should give Canterbury some lee-way re Cap.
Mbye going, going, goneeeeeeeee
Amazing - Woods and Foran - the two big buys might both be gone.
M'Bye - the future - also gone.
Must be issues at Manly.
Wattmough was a card carrying injury waiting to retire he left the Seagles and now Foran has done the rounds of a few clubs and is looking at retirement to.
For a club that said they wouldn't be paying players to play at other clubs the dodgies must be looking at supporting a few contracts for other clubs out of the Hasler era
Half the Canterbury Cap must be going to players at other Clubs …
Now they've flicked the dead wood (no pun intended) they'll probably start trying to grab everyone's juniors …
Kane Elgey - 2019 season.
Bargain deal as well. Looks like Foran, Frawley and Cleeland are all going?
Sponsor leaves. Worth around $500,000 a season to Canterbury, is now over, after Jaycar’s owner and founder Gary Johnston decided his company could no longer be associated with the Bulldogs following the events of Monday night in The Rocks.
Its all looking quite expensive. $250k fine - shocking media - sponsor loss.
Ouch. This has really cost them big time.
Jaycar - that's up their alley ref heads, but there is many retirees also touring Australia.
It has been a very expensive year for the dogs with fines, court cases and Hasler pay outs not to mention upheaval in the playing roster.
Despite all this they did manage to put together a few very good on field performance but just not enough of them.
Yes - forgot Dessie - its a 7 figure payout.
So - sponsor $500k pa - ongoing; Fine - $250k; Dessie - $1.5/2m; - plus all the negative press. VERY costly.
did you allow for any ongoing financial "contribution" to players they have or are letting go to?.
It might be time for the Dodgies to look at a merger.
They are if nothing else a very resilient club and will bounce back.
Yes - The Canterbury Eels …
Sponsors come and go. A good year next year will bring some new ones in.
