The entire Cronulla Sharks squad has been banned from a popular sailing club in the Sutherland Shire as a result of a late-night incident that the police are investigating.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported on late Friday night that the Cronulla Sailing Club took the extraordinary decision to ban the entire squad from its premises after a series of scuffles broke out at the venue on December 21 that involved several lower grade players.

you have a few teams finishing there. I think the sharks may be a 4th spot or higher team but they could also fall flat and be spoon contenders.:D
I’m gonna make up a thread in NRL forum for our predictions.

Barry Russell gone. Maybe they don't like the fact he self-reported ? He saved them a lot - BUT - who knows if the NRL would have found out otherwise ?

The NRL found that the sharks cheated the cap in 2015 and 2017 but not 2016 the year they won the comp ...........they must really think we are dumb!

Fox Sports - The Cronulla Sharks financial woes have been laid bare with a new report revealing the club remains afloat thanks to a “web of loans and repayments”.

Sharks supposedly have that "huge" financial winfall from the development next to the club and shark Park BUT they still cheat and have financial issues.

With the sharks the media has a field day with one thing and then sits back to wait on the next trouble train to arrive which is normally not far from the station.

I do tend to side with Southport questioning how the sharks can be rorters in seasons either side of their Premiership but compliant that one season in the middle
I find it hard to believe that all those players they sign wouldn't put them over the cap and player managers want the most contract money they can get.
Very few players sign for bugger all because they just want to play for a particular club.

Maybe the NRL should just merge Sharks with the Dragons to form the St George Illawarra Sharks! :-b

I've always felt Souths and Cronulla should be closed - maybe keep a NSW team - and come under the Saints Umbrella. We would keep our emblem, colours etc etc - but wear green and blue boots.
