You want the Dragons to take over the shire!
Well … it was ours in the first place - part of the Empire.
What a mess.
They could still stump up the cash to sign Johnson though even after offloading a number of their staff because they couldn't afford to keep them.
The still employ Gallen
Bad Santa - great movie !
Kyle Flanagan - 2 year extension.
Sharks caught out in salary cap audit.
No cap rorting audit is still on going.
BUT they have found Flanagan in contravention of his suspension over the "peptides" scandal breached the conditions by contacting the club and staff over coaching issues for his return in 2015.
Fine them $$$ and make him serve a full and transparent 12mths the cheat.
Too bad they didn't win the Premiership on his return as the Nrl could have taken that off the shonks at Shark Park.
I'd move them to Perth and take the Trophy off them.
Cronulla apparently looking at Justin Holbrook or Steve Price to replace Shane Flanagan should he be suspended.
also a rumour of having former Shark Trent B fill in if Flanno cops a well earned suspension.
Always thought he had an arrogant above it all attitude.
Well … Flanagan banned - $400k fine - and to top it off - Bazz as Coach … could it get any better ?
Maybe the GF stripped.
Ideas - if Cronulla fold what do we do with them ?
Central coast Bear sharks.
Too bad the NRL didn't twig to the arrogance of Flanagan during 2015 and they could have reset his 12mth suspension for 2016.
Flanagan is no dummy and he knew NO contact meant NO contact so if caught out he was in breach.
I still am of the opinion he knew damn well about the "peptide" programme and if not directly assisisting he was tacitly turning a blind eye so he could have plausible deniability.
If league management spent more time operating within the rules and not trying harder to get around them the game would be a lot better off.
The tigpies also appear to have been caught out trying to be a little too "flexible" with the rules
Perth Sharks goes well.
And screw the Sharks' fans?
Easy to say if you're not one.
Your team doesn't have to be "local" to be a fan. With so many away games these days fans travel....a lot.
If the sharks fans have an issue they can lay the blame at management and an arrogant coach who thought he could circumvent his suspension for something he would have had to know about , been involved in or tacitly approved of.
The Tigpies natural home was not Campbelltown but Balmain and Lidcombe.
Basically if you want a national game a few more teams need to leave Sydney and that's the practical side of it but actually doing it is another issue.
The Dragons to all intents and purpose have moved to Wollongong with some games still played at Kogarah although they will have an excuse to abandon that with soccer using the ground more. On the bright side if the sharks do move the St George area should revert more to the Dragons whose "local" area it has been part of since the red n whites entered the competition.
In a nutshell … yeeee …. - well - I can see your point @moto748
But its happened in the AFL and the teams have gone on to win the comp and keep their old fans while making new ones. Better to relocate than fold.
