I think Archie is talking about that spam check high security one - called something like VPN ?
VPN stands for virtual private network, it encrypts your browsing so that others can't see what you are doing and hinders or prevents them from stealing your identity.
I wanted a VPN because I have bought a tablet and can now use the data on my mobile phone on the tablet by "bluetooth hotspot tethering", the only thing was that I was concerned about doing online banking and a VPN offers that extra layer of security.
Free VPNs can be a bit of a worry but protonvpn is based in switzerland and makes it's money from people upgrading to a higher security paid version.
As I said the free version can only be used on one device and to be secure I needed a VPN to be installed on both my phone and tablet so I tried using a different email address and user ID for each device and I was able to get around the problem that way.
