So been somewhere near 2 years since i was last here. Wasn't an intentional absence but life and other projects got in the way. One of the things that got in the way was a 108 year historical first. A local rugby league competition.

The club that i started is the Timaru Outlaws.

Pre-fix please - come on - don't give me that - "I've been away for a long time" ... ;)

Terry suggested you got 2-5 with time for good behaviour ... :)

Running a district rugby league is hard work. Finding the $20 each year to run things is full time job. League is fairly static in New Zealand at the moment but union is on the decline but that is only because it has been so dominant for so long...so a little decline wont effect it greatly. What might be of issue to rugby going forward is that it is pricing families out of the sport.

Yes - my son runs a mixed 7's comp. The organisation - tees, players, etc - is so time consuming.
