Lions were garbage after that lack of effort against Carlton. Don't deserve to make the finals with that performance.

Good to see its not only Yawnion thatis having trouble with Political correctness gone askew.
AFL wheeled out the "Behaviour" Police the other night in special blue vests.
They and other security in yellow vests spent the game making judgement calls on the behaviour or fans including those participating in the National sporting past time of bagging Referees.
Most if not all of these people in vests look of "ethnic" origins and questions have been asked including by Jeff Kennett as to their qualifications given their ethnicity to judge fan behaviour and language used in barracking.

The PC mob came straight out like they did for Folau and attacked the Former Victorian Premier who like Folau wasn't backing down in his observations.

Second joke for the AFL was a game in Tassie?
The usual moving brawl moved on and two players remained in their own brawl.
One of these "vested" security people headed towards the sideline and these players ( possible to tell them their behaviour was incorrect and they had to leave)with obvious intent. Will they be working on the field next?.

Update
EXCITING Richmond forward Jack Higgins will be released from hospital on Thursday morning, but will take no further part in the season after suffering a bleed on his brain.

The issue was caused by an "abnormality" in his blood vessels, something he's had since birth but had not been previously identified.

Snow falls on AFL game between GWS and Hawthorn at Manuka Oval in Canberra
1 hour ago

Midway through the first quarter, snow began to fall at Manuka Oval. (ABC: Alister Nicholson)

Midway through the first quarter, snow began to fall at Manuka Oval.

An usual sort of AFL history has been made with snow falling on Manuka Oval during the match between GWS and Hawthorn.

Midway through the first quarter on a freezing cold Friday night in Canberra, the forecasted snow arrived and became increasingly heavy as the first half wore on.

It is believed to be the first time it has snowed during an AFL game.

Players had to resort to extreme measures to stay warm, including wearing electric blankets on the bench and dipping their hands in buckets of hot water.
The extreme weather posed a challenge to Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson's idiosyncratic rule that no player in his team can wear long sleeve jerseys — several Giants wisely opted to forgo the traditional singlets.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, the temperature fell to 2.7 degrees when the second quarter begun.

HAWTHORN'S four-time premiership great Jarryd Roughead will play a farewell match this weekend, which will officially bring to a close his glittering 15-year career.

The Hawks announced on Monday that Roughead would take on the Suns at Marvel Stadium, which will act as the 283rd and final game of his AFL career.

Roughead, a Coleman Medal winner, a two-time All Australian and a former captain of the club, has endured a difficult season out of the senior team throughout 2019.

WHEN Aaron Sandilands walked in the doors at Fremantle in late 2001 he was already a giant of a man, but he will depart at season's end a giant of the football club after announcing his retirement.

A four-time All Australian and dual Doig medallist, the former rookie will play his 271st career match and final home game in Saturday night's clash with Essendon.

SYDNEY has said farewell to another premiership hero after Nick Smith announced his retirement on Wednesday.

Smith, who first tore his hamstring tendon off the bone against Melbourne in round 21 last year, and was forced to have multiple surgeries since, decided against attempting another comeback for the 2020 season.

The former rookie-listed backman played 211 games for the Swans and was a crucial member of the club's 2012 flag-winning side.
