Lets hope for a good clean game - no gouging or kicking. Spitting or foul language.

The rubber may well be dead but there's still some bounce left.

Go to it fellas.

Can't believe the forward passes.

something has to be done about them.

HT:

NSW 6 - 8 Qld
Reynolds should’ve been picked.

I think QLD win this due to our shambolic halves!

Qld tactics certainly worked with Ref giving up on his 6 agains.

Still - a wins a win.

20 - 18 NSW

If you are a Queensland supporter you have every right to be happy.
They played a very good game
Moved up very quickly with in your face defence (something I have called the Dragons to do) snuffing out any hope of NSW running their game plays.
They laid on NSW players in the tackle to slow the game down with little action from the Referee until late in the second half
they had a great game plan and it worked.

NSW?
looked short of ideas in the face of the Qld defence.
They consistently off the first or even second pass ran the ball back inside into the main Qld defence and it was just a waste of plays.
very little offloading of the ball even when there was opportunity to do so
It was more a hog the ball a thon by NSW and Tedesco spent more time dancing around in circles than passing the ball although I finally saw him pass ONCE in the dying minutes of the game.
The Referee certainly allowed Qld a lot more latitude than NSW.

That said the BETTER team on the night got the win and it would have been an upset otherwise.

Hunt was a game breaker for Qld
Sims was very solid for NSW along with Haas .

MOTM? I am giving it to the Ref although there were some other contenders.

Fantastic game last night!! It was friggin awesome and man, I enjoyed it so much! Both sides pretty evenly matched and it was a real battle out there, as it should be. Both sides just went at each other and made for a great specticle. This is how Origin should be!!

So happy to see Queensland step up, play with passion, play well, and make a game of it. NSW weren't at their best that's for sure but Queensland did a lot to restore some pride, avoid the whitewash and potentially save some jobs next year.

Our Rabbitohs were all great, they all played well. Particularly Trell and Cam but Gags and Cookie did their jobs too. Loved watching Gags and trell go at it! They're best of mates but they just prove what Origin is all about, anyone wearing the opposite jersey is a sworn enemy, doesn't matter who they are.

So a great night that I really enjoyed, a good way to finish the series. Congrats to NSW on claiming the shield!

I seriously don't believe the 3rd game mattered - maybe it did in one way but the series was won.

We had both our main halves out - and it showed badly - and we had lost two of our main forwards.

I can't understand picking the halves we did. I'd have taken Walker and Reynolds to them. Wighton is not really a half - and the other bloke never performs on the big stage.

We badly missed Cleary though - and it showed. Our attack was disjointed and poor and a few of them seemed to try too hard. Cleary would have set them up and we'd have scored more tries.
