Cheers mate! I guess it's that time of year.
Yes we need to prepare well Callmack to do well, Souths till I die Souths till I die and I have spoken about it in our PM thread but you’ve been too busy which is fine.

It’s sure looking harder to find value in WFB position this year besides Pappy.

Haas is 1mil but worth it, I can sense STID won’t start with him though.

For mine I don’t think I can leave him out and the be able to watch him steamrolling everyone on field, this kid will only get better this year.

Mate I’m just too convinced about 2nd year syndrome with Haas. I need someone to convince me it’s not going to happen or it’s looking likely I’ll pass on him.
Either you’re tricking me lol, or I am right and you are looking at Andrew Fifita instead? I think I’m right and getting a good sense from how you play ahahahahaha.

I have been honestly thinking about picking Haas and setting the C on him every week.

Cookie didn’t run as much last year and we have lost more forwards so it’s gonna be hard to see him outscoring Haas, but then again Arrow has a fast play the ball so if he comes with he and Murray in the middle hopefully that would mean Cookie backs himself but there are no guarantees!

My worry with Andrew Fifita is he plays the first 27mins but then Morris doesn’t bring him back on til there is 17mins left and he only plays 44-45mins, Haas will keep playing 60-61mins.

I’ll have to see the Cronulla bench and what happens, ideally you want Andrew Fifita playing 55mins.

Issue Souths till I die Souths till I die is if you don’t start with Haas then there won’t be any point bringing him in til after all the origin matches and I don’t think he’s gonna be much cheaper tbh.

Your cows won’t have peaked by round 5 or so, so you’d be wasting a trade bringing in Haas then.

If I had to pick Haas or Teddy I’d pick Haas right now callmack1 callmack1, I just can’t see Teddy keeping up his 60 point average, I think that will drop this season and I tend to try going cheaper in the backs than the forwards!

What do we make of Ponga guys? He’s averaged a tick under 50 last season with his horror run home, he will come about 150k cheaper than Teddy too and I think they’ll both score quite similarly tbh in the first part of the season.

I have to avoid Tommy T, coming back off a long injury lay off I think it’ll take him a while to find his feet and that hammy could go at any moment.

I’ll be tempted to pick Burns at centre as I think he can average close to 50 but his hammy is also a big big worry.

I’ve had a long think about it and I’m gonna start with both Haas and Cook. Hopefully Haas doesn’t get picked for origin 😊

There will be heaps of good guns that you’ll have to pass on. I’m thinking this year though is gonna be easier than last year to pick a side.

Isaako is pretty expensive. I might even look at Brimson over him.

callmack1 callmack1 see bro I’m lending STID a helping hand, he was considering not starting with Haas;) I could not let that happen and watch him crash, after all he’s given us loads of help and I like to try return the favour and vice versa.

Brimson will be a bit more expensive than Isaako mate, I think Brimson will cost around 500kish, maybe slightly more.

What makes you think it’s easier Souths till I die Souths till I die?

Hahaha You’re no longer the underdog here mate. Well we have more salary cap and players seem to be cheaper than we thought.

Oh Brimson is way more expensive than I thought damn.

Geez Souths till I die Souths till I die callmack1 callmack1 I thought Tapine would be around 430-440k but he’s closer to 500k which puts me off him a bit now, but he will be on my maybe pile I think!

What about you guys see any value here in Raiders players?

Geez George Williams is far more expensive than I thought he’d be too!

You jinxed us now STID, players who I wanted in Isaako and Tapine are now about 50k extra than I thought.

I actually think it’s gonna be hard for me to pick a team under the cap.

Lads I think Cleary without Maloney will keep up high scoring too, he had an avg of 78 when Maloney didn’t play.

Haas, Cook, Cleary, Pappy and D. Fifita are looking like must haves to me, it’s gonna be hard to pick the rest, as I said some of these mid ranges so far are costing much more than I thought.

Once STID said it’ll be easier to pick a team I knew the only way player prices would come out is upwards and upwards and upwards of what we anticipated ahahahahaha

Souths till I die Souths till I die how many mins do you reckon Tapine will get? Or do you reckon Sutton off the bench may eat into his minutes? Or do you reckon Ricky just won’t give Guler and whoever else he has on the bench many mins?

Horsburgh and Sutton are certainties on their bench.

Mate so my opinion is that the current trend of Stuart’s starting locks are around 50 minutes per game. I’m not sure how he works with the interchange. It Tapine is starting I can definitely see him doing around 50 minutes and I think Tapine is the preferred starter over Sutton. Tapine only needs 50 minutes to put a decent score up. When Sutton’s on the interchange he generally has short minutes of 20-30 minutes. I like Tapine I think he’s a good option.
